Girls Track and Field Head Coach Wes Armbruster is the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Missouri Girls Track and Field Coach of the Year. This is the 2nd year in a row Coach Armbruster was named the Girls Track and Field Coach of the Year by the organization.

Submitted for review. Dr. Ruess specifically highlighted that our SRO's routinely assist with locating juvenile runaways. They are very successful in finding those runaways in a reasonable amount of time because they understand where to look because of the relationships the officers build with students.

Series 21 Investment - This was started in December 2021. It is an entirely liquid account now. In the 4th quarter the District earned $43,502 in interest. The District paid out $2.2 million for construction projects. For the fiscal year, the District earned $442,000 in interest and paid out just over $6 million. At the end of June, the account had $3.5 million.

Series 2025 Investment - The fluid account has earned $45,000 in interest during the 4th quarter and $475,000 in the 10 months it has been open. The balance currently stands at $30.4 million dollars and will be used to pay for construction projects.

Summer school enrollment was up about 60 students this year over last year. A majority of that comes from high school students taking required courses online over the summer (PE, Health, Personal Finance). Dr. Funston commented that communication about the attendance requirement for field trips was communicated will this year, resulting in little or no complaints from parents. Dr. Funston also mentioned that the transportation cut-off date that is included in the summer school announcement was effective in mitigating phone calls after that date had passed.

We met the 1% spending requirement again this year.

Curriculum review is Science & Media Tech this year

The focus for professional development this year will be specialized PD and academic rigor and development (OT/PT)

Dr. Ruess made it a point to highlight the hard work that the maintenance and custodial crews are doing over the summer to complete projects and do the annual work to spruce up the buildings for a new school year. Our school could not function without their commitment and dedication over the summer months.

Roy Mangan from ArchImages updated the board on the ongoing construction projects.

The playgrounds at the Intermediate School are installed. Crews must come back to put down the rubberized padding at both playgrounds and fencing around another. The interior of the Intermediate School is largely finished, with just site work remaining to be completed.

Sod has been laid at the new practice field behind the high school. This will be used for marching band and some sports teams during the school year. After the fall season, construction crews will return to build the new indoor practice facility. This is replacing the old practice field that was lost because it sits in the footprint of the new gymnasium.

Site work continues on the new high school gymnasium. The road that will loop around the gym can be seen in the picture on the right below. It is to rough grade right now. A number of the utilities are in place. Work is happening in the basement of the high school where many utilities will be tied into the new space. Next summer, crews will come in and renovate that locker room space. So far, the site crews have not uncovered anything that couldn't be addressed.

Colin Rogers with Brockmiller presented the board with a new bid package to amend the Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract. This was the final bid for the indoor practice facility. This is for the foundation, appendages to the building (foyer, restrooms, etc) and the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical. We had great interest in the project and many companies submitted bids The final package for $3,053,933 was approved.

The summer months are busy around campus. There have been many other summer projects not associated with the new construction are also being completed. Among them are:

Early Childhood -Lower restroom renovation is complete, Tuckpointing is finished and all interior floors have been waxed.

Elementary - HVAC in the lower cafeteria, faculty restroom renovation, circle drive sealed, new tiles by the entrance door.

Intermediate - restroom renovations, roof leaks have been repaired, new gym floor installed

Middle - the building is now on switches and not breakers, some lockers have been moved from the Intermediate School to the Middle School, the gym floor was sanded and repainted, elevator upgrade is happening next week., the parking lot has been sealed, striped and numbered, new sod and seeding around the expansion.

High - gym lights are on switches not breakers, carpets have been cleaned, HVAC improvements

Other - Stadium tuckpointing is competed, pole vaulting pits have been expanded to accommodate new mats
